Richard Hobson Photography is a member of School Photo Pro. This means we abide by a code of conduct. As an independent school photographer the society provides backup and support meaning we have all the resources and more of larger companies whilst remaining flexible and in key with the needs of local schools.

We take a new approach to school photography. Being experienced in portrait photography and event photography we have brought the best of this to our school photography proposition.

What makes us different?

• We provide proofs on photo day so parents can see the photo’s immediately. It makes a real event out of the day and builds excitement.
• We use a secure online ordering system for parents. Parents can only see their own children.
• Photo’s can be with the parents within a week of them being taken. Posted direct.
• Providing proofs on the day, the secure online ordering, and delivery to the parents means we can eliminate admin such as proof delivery, money collection, handing out final photo’s and banking for the school.

Our multiple pose proof gives parents more options when choosing photographs of their children.
Traditionally one background is used by school photographers. The proof a parent receives is the only one they can choose. There’s really no choice at all. Our multiple pose proof gives parents a choice of at least two and often three poses. Using white and black backgrounds (or traditional mottled if you should wish) we can give a level of choice never before seen in school photography.

Being a small business we are able to tailor the photographic experience to each school individually.

We don’t need to adopt a one size fits all approach to streamline our business. We are able to adapt to changes in style and schools requests very quickly. We meet with schools before sessions to ensure we provide exactly what is required for your demographic.

Commission to schools is provided with a detailed breakdown of products. Our online system means we can provide many more products and much more choice than traditional school photography.

We don’t limit parents to “packs” Yes, we provide packs, but we also recognise that today’s family is not always made up of the standard Mum, Dad and 2.2 children. We let parents decide which photographs and sizes they wish to purchase. When parents buy individual photo’s we apply the same discount to the purchase as buying a “pack” would provide. We offer flexibility without a hike in the price.Column 2 content goes here.

Traditionally, parents have been penalised for ordering late. That’s because it caused the school inconvenience with money coming in late etc. We’ve turned this on it’s head and always offer an “early bird” discount for parents. Rewarding prompt purchase of photo’s without penalising those who need to wait to buy for whatever reason.

You always get the personal touch. You always know that your photographer will be Richard Hobson. As it’s my own business you know that I’ll be looking to produce the best I can for you and your schools children and parents. I’m not there just to take some snaps and get away as soon as possible!
